Service Your Furnace Once Every Year...

In Ontario, we rely on our home heating systems for much of the year. While using natural gas furnaces for warmth, we expect our fuel-burning heating systems to operate safely -- without the threat of accident or illness. Providing this high level of safety requires teamwork from the heating industry, homeowners and government.

YOU have a responsibility to ensure your heating systems are maintained and in good working order.

Under no circumstances should unqualified people tamper with heating systems. If you have questions or concerns, feel free to contact us at any of the numbers listed below.

Our licensed technicians will complete the following items during every annual furnace service. Please note that the list below is not complete, but is intended for information purposes only.

  • Check the furnace for corrosion, water stains or leaks and clean the exterior of the furnace
  • Clean and inspect the heat exchanger
  • Clean gas burners and make adjustments as necessary
  • Check all furnace wiring
  • Check the furnace fan including bearings, fan blades, lubricate the motor, clean the fan and its compartment as required
  • Test all safety controls
  • Inspect the furnace venting system
  • Inspect the gas piping and leak test as required
  • Check the overall operation of the furnace including electronic air cleaners, humidifiers, etc.

Cleaning and inspecting your gas furnace is a clean and routine process. This type of service usually costs around $ 100.00. While making your home's heating system safer, this annual inspection can also reduce heating and cooling costs by allowing your system to operate more efficiently. A clean system has fewer breakdowns.
